Kris was handled very roughly before she was killed. After reading the coronor's report, I have to revise my scenario. The chest wounds were made close to death. Kris was also struck with a blunt object on the neck and shoulder. I still think that mac started stabbing Kris from the front which is when he inflicted the cuts to her hands and the cuts to her pj top. However it appears that he did not inflict cuts to her chest before he turned her over and started stabbing her back. After stabbing her in the back he turned her over and stabbed her in the neck and chest, as she was dying. I have wondered if Kris was not under the bed and by dragging her out he inflicted some of the bruising. From the coronor's report-Multiple contusions of the left lateral neck, left lateral anterior chin, right lateral buttocks, and right lateral epicondyle (elbow).
Multiple superficial abrasions to the right lateral neck.
The abrasions of the right lateral neck and superior shoulder are apparently made by a blunt object and those of the shoulder show heaping of the skin at posterior border suggesting blows sustained from anterior to posterior in direction.
The contusions of the left lateral neck, left lateral anterior chin, right lateral buttocks and right lateral epicondyle (elbow) which shows no superficial markings, suggest causation by contact with a non-specific most probably soft object of variable force.
The posterior (back) gaping incisional wounds were more ecchymotic in the subcutaneum than were the anterior (front) incisional chest wounds. It is these wounds that penetrate the anterior and posterior heart and left lung. The incisional wound involving the neck and trachea show only minor associated interstitial hemorrhage and the intra-tracheal sanguinous fluid is unclotted. These two factors suggest that the stab wounds to the neck and anterior (front) chest were probably sustained terminally or nearly so.
